This approach captures two major technological breakthroughs at Cambridge University: the first computer game with graphics (OXO, 1952), which used an oscilloscope for a display and was controlled with an old telephone, and the first webcam (Xcoffee, 1991), which was used to monitor the amount of coffee left in the machine in the Computer Laboratory.
